Fuaimlaoi has been invited to perform at St Joseph's Church, O'Connell Ave, Limerick City on Sunday, November 13th at 7.30pm by the Limerick Choral Festival Society. The group will be joined on this occasion by a guest string quartet.

 

 

Sunday, October 16th at 8pm, 2011, Carlow Cathedral, Carlow.

 

Fuaimlaoi will perform at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow, on October 16th at 8pm as part of the town's Féile an Fhomhair festival. The programme will feature a broad range of scriptural settings from the group's distinctive repertory. Fuaimlaoi will be joined on this occasion by a guest string quartet.


 

Sunday, May 15th, 2011, at 7.30pm, Mount St Joseph's Abbey, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary.


Fuaimlaoi will present the music of their new recording Ancient Promise at Mount St Joseph's Abbey, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary on Sunday May 15th, 2011, at 7.30pm. Many representatives of the parish choirs of the region will attend this event which seeks to promote liturgical music that is rooted in our native tradition. Fuaimlaoi will be joined on this occasion by a guest string quartet. All are welcome, free admission.


 

Thursday, March 24th at 8.30pm, 2011, Avila, Donnybrook, Dublin 4.


Fuaimlaoi will perform at Avila, Carmelite Centre, Bloomfield Ave, Donnybrook at 8.30pm on Thursday, March 24th. The programme will feature a broad range of scriptural settings from the group's distinctive repertory.


 

Sunday, January 2nd 2011, RTE Broadcast


Fuaimlaoi featured in a recent TV programme entitled Schola Cantorum in Concert which was broadcast on RTE 1 on Sunday, January 2nd. This programme may be viewed online on the RTÉ Player until January 23rd.

 

 

Monday, October 4th at 7.30pm, College Chapel, Maynooth


Fuaimlaoi will be among the artists invited to perform at a concert to celebrate the Fortieth Anniversary of the Schola Cantorum of St Finian's College, Mullingar. The Schola Cantorum was founded by the Irish bishops in 1970 to provide music scholarships for young boys, and in recent years girls, to be trained in organ playing and other skills related to church music. Fuaimlaoi's director Ronan McDonagh, and one if its members Hannah Evans were recipients of these scholarships. The concert - attended by the Patron of the Schola Cantorum, Uachtarán na hÉireann, Mary McAleese and invited guests - will take place in the College Chapel, Maynooth, on Monday, October 4th, at 7.30pm.

 

 

Sunday, October 10th at 7pm, St Nathy's Cathedral, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon.

 

Fuaimlaoi will present the music of their new recording Ancient Promise at St Nathy's Cathedral, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon on Sunday, October 10th at 7pm. The parish choirs of the Achonry Diocese will attend this event which seeks to promote liturgical music that is rooted in our native tradition. Fuaimlaoi will be joined on this occasion by a guest string quartet. All are welcome, free admission.

 


Sunday, July 11th at 7pm, Carrick-on-Shannon:


Fuaimlaoi will perform at St George’s Church of Ireland, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, as part of the town’s Water Music Festival 2010.

 

 

Thursday, July 1st at 7.30pm, St Teresa's Church, Clarendon Street:


The Carmelite Launch of Ancient Promise will take place at St Teresa’s Church, Clarendon Street at 7.30pm. Fuaimlaoi will perform music from their new recording which features the liturgical music of Ronan McDonagh.

 

The CD and book containing the music of the settings will be available for purchase.

 

All are welcome, free admission.
